Last weekend two IFA World Tour Tournaments took place in Austria. The 31st International Faustball Trophy in Rohrbach which was planned to be an IFA 750 has to be reduced to an IFA 500 due to lack of teams from the highest national leagues.
The team from Novo Hamburgo, which was a mix of brasilian players from the “Seleção”, won the final against Union Compact Freistadt. Followed by the Austrian teams Askö Linz Urfahr and Union Tigers Vöcklabruck.
In the female competition the Austrian champion from Nussbach won the tournament and 500 points for the ranking. Runner-up was the team from Askö Laakirchen Papier, the bronze medal was won by SPG Wolkersdorf/Neusiedl in a close match against Union Compact Freistadt.
In Frohnleiten the tournament was held for the 44th time, TUS Kremsmünster participated with two teams and won the gold and bronze medal. Union Schwanenstadt completed the podium and also took home 200 points for the World Tour Ranking.
In the upoming days a lot of Fistball will be played, the Australian Club Championship (IFA 250) and the world famous Obersee Masters in Jona (SUI) will take place.
